Book Review

Charming, surprising, and full of cheerful Christmas happiness describes this book – at least once the initial doldrums are over. This story is a great example of an unexpected twist changing everything – between the main characters and for me as a reader. I adore surprises like this.

Harrison is extremely grumpy even though his new lover is about the most sparkly, happy guy ever. I was wondering why – only to find out, bit by bit, that he was still hung up on his previous lover. There are a few hints as to something unusual going on along the way, but I did not guess the actual secret. Of course I can’t share any of that with you without ruining the surprise, so all I will say is that it is a marvelous idea and a very creative twist on Christmas magic.

If you like stories that surprise you as well as the main characters, if Christmas magic is your thing, and if you’re looking for an enchanting read, then you will probably like this sweet short story.
