Book Blurb

Alpha wolf James Brant has stood back and waited while his mate recovered from a brutal attack. After barely saving his mate from the hunters who want James and his pack dead, James now has something worse to deal with. The idea that he might never be with his mate now that he's found him—because James is from the future.

The only person Austin could think of while going through his brutal ordeal was James. He hardly knows anything about the man, other than how hard he's fallen for him in such a short period of time, and the people who did this to him are still out there.

When the hunters attack again, James must fight for both of their lives, and Austin is forced to run away and not look back, leaving the man he loves in the hands of monsters more terrible than wolves.

Book Review

After the revelations and numerous warnings that the future of Dakota’s pack still does not look too favorable despite all the changes made, Rick, the first of two time travelers, got to tell his story in the previous volume. ‘Safe and Sound’, pretty much as expected, turned out to be yet another action-packed and anxiety-ridden installment in the ‘New Luna Werewolves’ series. This time it’s the second time traveler’s turn to face reality, and Jason makes a very different decision from the one Rick made. This only serves to increase the tension and my need to find out what is going to happen – but it looks as if things won’t be resolved until book twelve.

James has come to the past to try to save his father’s pack from annihilation. Since he and his best friend, Rick, know what caused the disaster in their own timeline, they figure they can prevent it from happening again. So far, so good. The hunters have been weakened, but apparently not enough to be sure the pack will survive their combined attack. In fact, they kidnapped Austin, James’s mate, and almost beat him to death. Now that Austin is safe, and James realizes there is no point in trying to fight the mating, he will do anything to keep Austin safe. But that is a lot easier said than done!

Austin was sure he was about to die when the hunters had him in their clutches, and his only thoughts were focused on James. When James saves him only to vanish yet again – other than the daily gifts he leaves behind in the hospital – Austin is losing hope they will ever be together the way he has dreamed. So he is ecstatic when James comes around and they get closer than ever before, but not everyone is as happy as he is. These hunters just will not go away!

If you like stories where a knight in shining armor saves his partner from a powerful enemy, if you want to see Austin and James fight for their happiness and right to become a couple, and if you’re looking for a read that moves the series plot toward a hopefully happy conclusion, is suspenseful, has a few twists and turns, and has some very hot man-on-man action, then you will probably like this novella.
