Book Blurb

Paul might be blind, but he has a full life between deejaying at a local radio station and playing on stage with a band a few times a month. It’s been a while since he’s been with anyone, though, and when Thor asks to take him home, he’s not quite sure what to do.

Thor’s been listening to the sexy DJ’s voice for years and is thrilled to finally meet Paul in person. Can his aural fascination grow into more? And will Paul be right there with him?

Book Review

It is hard enough to find a partner when you can see, but as a blind man, the difficulty increases. In this story, the main character has his life organized and has a job he loves, but he is alone. Many men shy away from his difference, but not Thor. I loved how the fearless swim coach just charges ahead, and how refreshing his honesty is for Paul. The way these two quickly fall for each other is very endearing.

Paul is a man who was born blind, works as a DJ, plays in a band, and just gets on with his life. When he meets Thor, who has been listening to his show for a long time, he suddenly has the option of a longer term relationship. The way these two bond initially is purely physical, but as the get to know each other the relationship develops into more. I liked how the experience was described from Paul’s point of view, and how Thor encourages him to try something new. But Thor’s experience is interesting as well, how he settles into gradually feeling more comfortable around Paul – and not because he has issues with dealing with the blindness, but because he doesn’t want to come off as a stalker or as “too interested”.

If you like sweet stories about characters who face a challenge, if you enjoy reading about men who don’t care about what some might call physical shortcomings, and if you’re looking for a sweet romance that definitely includes all the senses, then you will probably like this short novella.
