Book Blurb

The hunt is on.

Pretty young men and women like Michael’s best friend, Scary Mary, are disappearing from underground goth clubs all over Detroit. For over two years, Michael has been scouring the midwest for buried newspaper articles and obscure medical reports, and now he’s finally pinpointed the source of the problem. Too bad he can’t exactly go to the cops and tell them his friend was murdered by vampires. Since it’s his duty to start wiping out the scourge, he’s posing as bait—and he’s got a bag of sharpened hickory stakes to do the job.

Everything should go smoothly, given the amount of preparation that Michael has put into the hunt. He’s got a practiced repertoire of come-hither eyeliner looks and a full blister-pack of the date rape drug Rohypnol. But he didn’t count on Wild Bill showing up.

Wild Bill is a vision in spiked hair and scuffed black leather—exactly the type of guy Michael would have fallen for…if he’d ever had the chance. Unfortunately, with a vampire in his sights, Michael has no time for an actual date. Despite his best efforts, it seems there’s nothing Michael can do to shake Bill loose. Looks like they’re in for a wild, wild ride.

Book Review

I know. I know. I never should've let the time get away from me so fast. I promised a friend a whole while back that I would read the 'Channeling Morpheus' series and I'm just getting around to it. The important part, though, is that I'm reading them. Right? I am a giant fan of Jordan Castillo Price as she always delivers on the gritty tales. I expected no less of this series.

Michael has his plan totally in place. He's got his bag of tricks, including sharp hickory stakes, and, of course, eyeliner, so he can tempt the vamp into coming closer. What he didn't count on, or expect, is the appearance of Wild Bill. Sinfully hot, right up Michael's alley with ripped up jeans, spiked blond hair, and a snake tattoo on his neck. Yum. Michael would love nothing more than to ditch the vampire and hang with Wild Bill, but Michael has been tracking this vamp for two years and he's not about to risk his opportunity. Much to Michael's surprise, he finds Gray and everything is going beautifully, until Wild Bill follows them and suggests a threesome.

This isn't a long book, but the author has packed some tantalizing intrigue into it. Michael found a vamp, but also discovered that maybe not all of them are evil killers. Now, he's on a hunt to find the one who left. This is a great beginning to a series and I'm jumping right into the next book. I want to get to the bottom of the mysteries the author has left dangling in front of me.
