The new ghost hunter is finally starting to settle in to her surroundings. She is starting to hear the Call, just like R.J. and Valentine, and her new ink brands her as part of the counter-culture she has joined. But when the ghost hunters delve into another new world, one of drugs and delinquency, she might be out of her depth again...

Book Review

This seventh book in the ‘Lesbian Ghost Hunters’ series once again is about the two ghost hunters and one ghost hunter in training who is the narrator for the balance of the story. These stories do get wilder and weirder as they progress and I just love it! This may be the most far out and has a gratifying conclusion that I never saw coming. I don't require to be cut off at the knees in surprise, however it is certainly a good deal of fun. I also love the nameless narrator more and more. She is my sweet grasshopper, aka the nameless one. Plus, the addition of Valentine along with R.J. as the professionals certainly has added dimension and pleasure. Time to go hunting!

Nameless one is getting a tattoo right at the beginning. Now, I don't have any experience in this arena, but this iteration certainly felt like a really outlandish experience and a very unusual parlor operation. Yet, the tattoo and a supposedly necessary leather jacket had nameless one really feeling closer to being a full-fledged ghost hunter. Wonderful! However, she is still very much a trainee and that underscores her anxiety about how long it will take before she can officially call herself a hunter. No one will say. At least she has Valentine to cuddle with and be gently tutored on all the nuances this craft appears to require. Amazing!

R.J. and Valentine sense the ghosts early on. Plus, Valentine's additional talents aid the group in their quest. However, new strange events happen almost from the git-go. Great...more education for nameless one and new techniques to pleasurably release the souls to the hereafter I imagined. However, a hitch has befallen our hunters. Now Valentine knows the danger and assures nameless one that R.J. also knows. Nameless one was given an option to bale, but one of the ghosts pulls her right into the middle of the now ever growing confusion. Oops. Our narrator is now quite loopy. Unbelievable!

Just like nameless one, I still wonder how does one become a certified ghost hunter? How long will it take? The team's current caper exposed many more dangers that followers of the craft must face, but no more awareness of when one becomes verifiable. I certainly hope that means that there are scores of more stories still waiting in the wings to be included in this cracklingly good series. Super enjoyable!
