Book Blurb

Dr. Ambrose White is somewhat absent-minded. He has his head in the clouds researching his latest formula. He forgets meetings with his boss, the names of his interns, and basically anything that isn’t really important to him.

The one thing Ambrose never forgets is his beloved cat, Kitty. When Ambrose is asked to look at a formula for two researchers from another lab, he has no idea that it will bring danger to the one thing that means the most to him.

When a lab accident turns Kitty into a human, Ambrose has to decide if he can do the right thing and develop a formula to turn him back into a cat or if falling in love with the man Kitty has become more important than his research.

Book Review

This is such a funny story, which features not only an absentminded and highly intelligent scientist, but also a cat who has recently been transformed into a human by an experiment gone wrong—and has no clue how complicated life can be once he starts walking upright. With a wonderful mix between laugh-out-loud humor and some very hot lovemaking scenes, this story had me captivated from beginning to end. Highly entertaining!

Ambrose is not just your typical super-clever scientist, he is also a very loving man. His cat, by the name Kitty, means everything to him. Well, Kitty and Ambrose’s brother Stephan, who runs the business side of their enterprise. Ambrose just wants to do research and be left alone. I love how he doesn’t remember the names of his interns, driving one of them into total despair. I also liked how his caring side comes out where his cat is concerned. And once Kitty is human? Ambrose only becomes more possessive.

Kitty is a wonderful character. He is clearly a cat, and some of his explanations about the animal world were really funny, and so were his mannerisms as a human. I loved the way he still clearly thought (and often acted) exactly like a cat even once he had a human body. Kitty also gets to discover his courageous side, and I really enjoyed watching him fight for “his human”.

If you like drama-free stories that make you laugh, if you enjoy just a touch of tension and some evil villains, and if you’re looking for a fun, yet very hot love story between two extremely unlikely partners, then you will probably love this novella as much as I did.
