Book Blurb

Entering the small bar on the side of the highway, Remy didn’t harbor high expectations for the night, not until he notices the most gorgeous man in the place checking him out from across the room. Casual hookups in dark alleys aren’t his style, but he knows he’d be a fool to pass up such an opportunity.

From the moment the blond beauty stepped into the room, Colt had to have him, even if just for the night. Their parking lot tryst gets off to a sizzling start, especially when Colt realizes the barfly enjoys a firmer hand. It’s just a one night stand, though. What does it matter if he can’t remember the man’s name?

Unfortunately for him, it matters a lot to Remy, and Colt’s one-time fling is about to become much more than he expected.

Book Review

Anyone who isn’t really into the bar scene will be able to sympathize with Remy in this story – he sort of wants a hookup, but he isn’t good at attracting attention, at least not from the man he is interested in, or so he thinks. But the man Remy has been watching wants him right back, and anyone other than Remy can see that. Then the bartender offers his help and Remy hesitantly puts the man’s plan into action. What follows is a really funny comedy of errors, a major plot twist, and some very hot man-on-man action – not necessarily in that order.

Remy is sort of shy, and really clumsy. His attempts to play pool, all to get the hunky man to notice him, are hilarious, and I was laughing out loud as he bungles one attempt after the other. Of course, hunk-man comes over to help him out, and it gets even funnier after that.

Colt is extremely interested in the adorable, if somewhat clumsy man who tries to play pool at the table next to his. When the bartender comes over and is greeted enthusiastically, Colt almost looses it. He has no reason to feel jealous (or so I thought), and yet he is really upset. Minutes later, after an extremely hot encounter in the parking lot, it all becomes clear – in a fun plot twist which I should have seen coming, but have to admit I did not.

If you like stories about hot hookups, if you enjoy reading about two men who are very different in temperament yet are drawn to each other like moths to a flame, and if you’re looking for a funny story with quirky characters and an interesting little plot twist, then you will probably like this short story.
