Book Blurb

Elemental Ops has been dealing with good dragons and bad guys for just long enough that they think they might survive. Second-in-command Jack learns to bond with his dragon companion, Serena, just in time for all hell to break loose again in the form of government analyst Lane, who shows up at the dragon stronghold to find out why the team went AWOL. Jack's got his sense of humor, and his lusty appetite, back just in time to handle Lane while the other Ops members are still on the mend.

Lane knows he's only on this assignment because he screwed up his last mission. What's an analyst doing on missions anyway? Sexy agents like One-Eyed Jack are not for him, but he can't deny their instant connection, or his new bond with baby dragon Geri. Can Jack and Lane figure out how to keep his new family safe from the government bureaucrats who want their hands on the dragons, and the Ops team?

Book Review

The team of secretive elemental operatives who stumbled on a group of dragons and their Guardian is back! In this third book, the powers that be have figured out something strange is going on, since the team has still not reported back about the “biological weapons", aka the dragons, whom they were sent to find and assess. Hence they send Lane, an analyst on punishment duty. Needless to say, this does not end with a commendation for Lane and the dragons in the government’s service! Ice, the team leader, and Keon, the dragon’s Guardian, are back, as are the other members of the original team. A wonderful continuation of this story about fairy tale creatures set in the framework of a modern-day adventure!

Jack may be second in command and generally not stupid, but it took him long enough to accept his dragon, Serena. Now that he has, he cannot imagine life without her. He has become fiercely protective of her, as well as the other dragons, so an intruder should upset him way more than Lane is doing. The instant connection soon evolves into more, and Jack is now doubly vigilant against anyone who might be out to figure out where they are.

Lane is cute, if a little ditzy in real life. He may be a talented analyst, but he wasn’t made for field work, and it shows. When he gets found out by the men whose location he is supposed to report to his superiors, he expects to be treated badly. Instead he discovers that dragons are real, that one of the babies has bonded with him, and that the real sh*t will hit the fan unless they figure out a way to get the government off their backs. Oh yes, and he has fallen madly in lust, maybe even in love, with Jack. What a day!

If you like the idea of men with elemental powers working with mystical dragons, if you enjoy stories where loyalties change when true love emerges, and if you’re looking for an imaginative read that is fun and full of paranormal and fantastical discoveries, then you will probably like this short story.
