I was delighted and entranced when I stumbled across this series. I loved the idea of two marine shifter brothers, William and Kaiser Roush (no idea what they shift into), starting this aquarium and making it a haven for marine shifters.

Imagine being scared enough to run back to a man/shifter who violated you by biting and mating with you without your consent? Even though Rowan thinks of Max as the love of his life, that nonconsensual binding them together forever was just too much

Ahh – sheikhs! Their secret lives, unimaginable riches and billionaire status, and the (for me) exotic places they live make for stories that are among my favorites.

It’s only a couple of days until the next book in this series will be published, so I figured it was high time I brought myself up to date with Galen and Shane’s lives so as to be ready for their next adventure.

A vampire walks into a casino… is not the way this novel begins, but this story does revolve around Ante, a one-hundred-fifty-year-old vampire from Croatia who spends his time stealing blood and money from casino-going gamblers in Las Vegas, while trying to stay away from the “official” vampire rulers of the city.

I enjoyed the first book in this series quite a lot so I jumped straight into Riley and Samuel’s tale. I met Samuel at the end of Stephan and Todd’s adventure when Samuel showed up to “escort” the newly paired lubirea mai couple to the council for their mating to be sealed.

*Gleefully rubbing my hands together with a look of avarice in my eyes.* I thought it might seem tacky to start my review with an obvious pun, but I honestly couldn’t help myself.

‘Silk’ is as sensual as the first two books in this series of standalone novellas set in the sensual world of various types of fabric, and it has the added allure of two men who live by certain rules – only to discover that breaking those can be as much fun as sticking to them come what may.
