BOOK BLURB:
CJ Lamont is at the top of the racing world but his winning record is based on a carefully constructed lie. His world falls apart when his ex-wife reveals the truth. As he hits rock bottom, rescue comes from an unexpected source ~ Garrett Johnson, Hollywood’s hottest leading man.
Garrett’s acting career is taking off, bringing him accolades he’d never imagined. Good friends and family keep his days hopping, but watching his twin brother fall in love exposes the emptiness in Garrett’s life created by the betrayal of his ex-lover.
Garrett offers CJ a place to heal and a shoulder to lean on, telling himself it’s only to keep CJ from taking a more destructive path. But as time passes, the two men grow closer and CJ realizes he has a decision to make ~ whether to rebuild his fictitious life, or admit to loving a man who shines brighter than the Hollywood stars. Will he reach for the star or sink back into his old life?
BOOK REVIEW:
High profile sports and Hollywood glamour leave way for true emotions in High line by TA.
Garret Johnson is a high profile actor who is very secure in his life, while CJ Lamont is the hottest rider in the history of NASCAR. A movie role and research bring these two strong characters together.
The racing world is not very open-minded, and CJ is firmly in the closet when Garret, the charming star, comes along. Is fame and money stronger than companionship and love?
Both characters have this wounded air, and deep need for companionship. Against CJ’s wishes, he feels sparks when Garret flirts/banters with him. A horrible scandal, leaves CJ wounded and in high need of comfort. Garret chooses to help CJ weather the worst, his good heart and kindness links these two males together.
This is a story about trust, new beginnings and love, high races and power mixed with angst. T.A. Chase brings a beautiful, charming and very fun story with a strong message. Garret is trusted into the role of supporter and CJ’s rock, as CJ embarks in a search of his true self. Sparks fly. Will it be enough?
Beware once you start there is no putting this book down.
