BOOK BLURB:
When Rulik answers a distress call from a spaceship being pursued by outlawed raiders, he meets the man he's been waiting for all his life. An alliance between their worlds will bring them together, but the ensuing diplomatic crisis threatens to tear them apart. Only Rulik can solve the problem, but will it be at the loss of his hopes and dreams?

BOOK REVIEW:
After six years of peaceful trading with the Mhajavi people, the planet Zigan prepares to form a much needed alliance. The pact unifies the two planets in fighting rebels attacking their merchant ships. More vital is Mhajavi medical advances that may cure many Ziganese illnesses and diseases. Zigan’s overly inbred population would also benefit from donations of healthy Mhajavi DNA, possibly in time to save the King’s heir from a terminal blood disorder.

The King’s youngest son, Captain Rulik, is the person responsible for instigating the alliance. All his hard work is jeopardized when his father demands a marriage between the two cultures as part of the deal. He knows that neither side can accept the other’s opposing ethnic principles. Still, to save his father from disgrace, Rulik offers himself in marriage. He just hopes that his new lover, Shayan understands that duty to Zigan comes before anything personal.

An exciting and pleasant story, Alliance Book 1: Diplomatic Relations is a quick but quite entertaining read. Captain Rulik first meets Shayan after rescuing the Mhajavi diplomatic party from raiders. Once social pleasantries are finished, Rulik and Shayan embark on more carnal indulgences that are sultry and so satisfying.

Keeping the reader fascinated, Ms. Lamont casts radiant characters that help form the suspenseful plot. Arpana Toryl carries inside her body a symbiont, an ancient entity full of wisdom and information. This highly revered woman comes as a historian to record the Alliance conference. Still Rulik wonders … why would a woman in her esteemed position travel without appropriate protection.

However he has more urgent matters for concern, having to marry a woman to keep the Alliance negotiations going and conceal his father’s error. Rulik’s preference for men leaves him lacking experience in female loving. Maybe his bisexual lover Shayan can offer a few pointers before the wedding night. This sexy threesome is hot, scorching the pages with shameless, hungry need.

A beguiling story, Alliance Book 1: Diplomatic Relations begins Ms. Lamont’s new series at Amber Quill Press. Alluring characters with a dual plot of romance and political intrigue makes this story quite entertaining.
