BOOK BLURB:
Next Of Kin by Astrid Amara
Brian is a temp helping to reorganize the hospital’s filing system when all hell breaks loose in the ER. Children are brought in half eaten and mauled. Brian is doing his best to help when he spots the man on fire in the corner. Detective Jay Yervant is a Hell Cop. He works for the Parmas City Police Department Metropolitan Demonic Unit. Jay can’t touch anyone without gloves or he’ll burn them. His life is a bit lonely and isolating as a result, so when Brian touches him and nothing happens, he is intrigued, to say the least. While Jay works on trying to find out why the children were targeted by demons, Brian is trying to find out who his father is. Jay wants to protect Brian from the demons because he's the only man who's been able to touch Jay's heart. Literally.

Red Sands by Nicole Kimberling
Michael Gold is a professor and half-demon. He’s been accused of murder, but he didn’t do it. Detective Argent is a Hell Cop working Michael’s case. Michael and Argent met once before under much more intimate circumstances. As they try to find out who the murderer is and why he did it, they’re each thinking of picking up where they left off.

Touching Sparks by Ginn Hale
James Sparks is an informant to Hell Cop Detective Ben Moran. James has found himself in a world of trouble. He needs Moran’s help when his life is threatened, but Moran might need James even more. James and Moran have known each other a long time. James wants Moran to see him as more than the boy he once knew. Moran does, but he may not get the chance to tell him.

BOOK REVIEW:
I love “Next of Kin.” I love the amazing things Brian and Jay can do, I love that Jay can’t do anything with anyone but Brian, and I love what they do together. The characters are cool, the story is awesome, and the romance is sexy hot. I want more of Brian and Jay! They could be the stars of ten more stories and I wouldn’t tire of reading about them!

Michael and Argent live in a scary world where demons run amok, often trying to kill people and succeeding in horrible and disgusting ways. Michael and Argent are more or less average guys in “Red Sands,” except for Michael being half-demon and Argent’s powers. Their attraction to each other and the sparks between them are intense. I love the world these guys live in. It’s fascinating and unique.

The angst and tension between James and Moran is thick in “Touching Sparks.” The characters and bizarre situations surrounding them are wild. I was on the edge of my seat waiting to see if James and Moran would stay alive long enough to hook up. “Touching Sparks” is great!

It’s not often that I read an anthology where each story is as good as the last, but Hell Cop is an example. The Hell Cop world falls somewhere between weird and frightening. It’s incredibly well developed and the characterization is amazing. I love all of the guys, their stories, and the outcomes. The oddity of the situations they find themselves in and the bizarre cast of characters are fantastic. I want more of Brian, Jay, Michael, Argent, James, and Moran. ASAP!
