BOOK REVIEW:
The author's The Joan Crawford Murders was a delightfully campy behind-the-scenes look at a long-lost Hollywood and I enjoyed it very much. I hoped for something equally enticing with Bad Movies but the highlights were fewer and I found this much more of a parody than actual camp.

Jill is a transsexual whose memories are patchy; she knows "something bad" happened in Mexico but she doesn't know what. The most she can recall is tingles of vision that might have been dreams, or might have been actual incidents. She believes a hypnotist told her to forget. Moving to Hollywood to become a star lands her in the porn subculture along with her new friend, a gay aspiring photographer, and right in the path of a killer who sports a variety of rubber monster masks. But Jill's innate purity of spirit will eventually triumph over crass circumstances and encounters with those who intend only to use and abuse her.
