BOOK BLURB:
To Mischa, life is simple. Doms are Doms and subs are for fucking, flogging, and bossing around. Until he meets Tom, that is. Tom is deeply offended when the stranger in the bar takes him for some kind of slave boy. Well, offended and more than a little excited by the thought of surrendering to Mischa. Mischa being Mischa, their meeting results in Tom losing his virginity in a way that's hotter than even his wildest fantasies.

Mischa is drawn to Tom and makes another appointment. And then another, initiating Tom to every kink Mischa knows. They aren't scenes, of course, because Mischa has a "one boy, one scene" rule. But then again, Tom isn't exactly like his usual boys, and Mischa finds himself falling in love, though nowhere near ready to admit it. Luckily, Tom isn't exactly your stereotypical slave. Life is good ~ until Tom gets attacked, and Mischa has to fight harder than ever to make Tom realize that he isn't going anywhere.

BOOK REVIEW:
This is an amazing first book. C.B. Conwy has written well-rounded, believable characters, with lives and jobs and a deliciously serious taste for kink. So often fictional BDSM relationships seem to isolate that one part of the people involved, but here Tom and Mischa not only develop an interesting D/s relationship, but actually like each other as well.

Mischa is an experienced Dom, with rules like "one boy, one scene" and "no boys allowed in my office." He has a strong need to dominate, to give pain, to control his sexual encounters, to make his boys scream. He's met men who blew his mind sexually and who shared his kink. He's met men with whom he could share a friendship, talk and laugh and tease. Until he met Tom, he'd never found someone who blended the two. Tom is totally inexperienced, but has been reading kinky books. When Mischa and Tom meet by accident, Tom is intrigued by meeting someone who actually lives his fantasies, and Mischa wants to show Tom about BDSM. Mischa really never intends to go past his "one scene" rule, but Tom is so turned on by the idea of Mischa taking control, of Mischa making him do things he's only imagined, of the pain, that it slips into several meetings, then more. It's a journey of self-discovery for both men, as Tom realizes he needs what Mischa makes him do.

If you like to read BDSM m/m novels, this is going to be right up there on your keeper shelf. It's a longer book, but that's a good thing. The characters (both Tom and Mischa and the beautifully drawn secondary characters) have time to experience, interact, explore, and tell their story. There are some heavy scenes with serious consensual pain, but they are entwined carefully with the emotional needs of the characters.

I highly recommend this book. I hope there will be a sequel, and I will be looking for more from this author.
