BOOK BLURB:
Bobby Kendrick has idolized reclusive author Dr. Parley Taylor since he was a teenager. The only problem is, Dr. Taylor has disappeared. Bobby finally finds Dr. Taylor in a tiny basement apartment in Kansas City, and the first thing he learns about his idol is that Parley Taylor doesn’t want to talk to anybody. Especially his fans.
But Bobby wants to show Taylor that the world is waiting for him, and he is not going to give up on his Nowhere Man...
BOOK REVIEW:
Bobby has always idolized the author Dr. Parley Taylor to the point that he is basing his graduate thesis on the man. Bobby, with the help of a private investigator, managed to locate the elusive writer and is determined to learn more about him. Bobby finally meets him, but Taylor has gone to ground and his very sarcastic manner is enough to turn away most of his followers. Bobby’s interest is not just scholastic, but personal in nature. Taylor, for his part, doesn’t quite know what to make of Bobby. Unlike most people, Bobby doesn’t take no for an answer. After one moment of passion, Bobby decides that he wants much more than a one night stand, but what does Taylor want?
Jamie Craig has created an interesting story about the irrepressible nature of youth versus the sometimes jaded world weary beliefs of adulthood. The use of visual descriptions of Taylor brings his unique personality to life for the reader. I enjoyed how Bobby manipulated and sometimes strongly coerced Taylor into doing things he didn’t want to, but in the end was pleasurable for both of them. Taylor with his sarcasm and snaky comments keeps Bobby off balance even when he refuses to give up on him. The depths and convoluted thoughts of Taylor were fascinating to watch and totally unpredictable. Thanks go to Jamie Craig for an interesting read.
