BOOK BLURB:
Werewolf and private investigator Nick Pardoner has a second job that he works part time. When he runs into vampire Alex, Nick knows he has to do his job, which is to slay the vamp. He can't seem to do it, though, and Alex ends up invading his life, and forming an uneasy alliance with him when things go terribly wrong.

On the run, and trying to save Alex from forces far larger than they are, Nick and Alex form a friendship that might just be more enduring than anything in Nick's life. With the help of a dedicated cop, and other unlikely friends, Nick and Alex try to stay alive, and try to figure out what their new relationship means. Can they make it through to find out if Alex's life is worth saving?

BOOK REVIEW:
Nicholas Pardoner is a private investigator, a demon catcher, a vampire slayer and a werewolf. When he sees Alexander Dwight Finch for the first time he immediately recognizes him as a vampire and stalks him with the intent of killing him. However Alex turns the tables on him, escapes, but shows up the following day outside Nicholas's apartment.

Instead of trying to kill each other, the two men become unlikely allies and friends with an undercurrent of sexual attraction, though Nicholas is in denial about that part of their relationship.

But trouble rears its ugly head in the shape of a master demon named Xyj'Ru ~ yeah, you try saying it! Seems you-know-who helped Alex out after he'd been turned and now wants him back, along with a mysterious key Alex stole from him.

The boys go on the run, hiding out in motels until they are viciously attacked by you-know-who's thugs. Alex is injured and needs blood ~ Nicholas obliges, supplying that and later, something else both men need.

Later, they're joined by John Doderburg, a cop, who is more than just a little attracted to Alex. The three of them go in search of you-know-who using Alex as bait, and in the final face off ... well, read it and find out.

I really enjoyed The Pardoner's Tale. It's funny, quirky, the characters are endearing, especially Alex ~ but then, I have a thing for vampires. Morgan Ferdinand has brought a fresh and original approach to a familiar theme, and I found it thoroughly entertaining. Highly recommended
