BOOK REVIEW:
Sinjen Dameon is almost an oddity in the world where he lives because he loves bringing the music of the masters to life in the far out reaches of the galaxy where even their names have been lost in times. Sinjen has spent years trying to raise interest in the public to his music, but all the masses see is Sinjen and his fame. Now Sinjen has finally reached the final concert at the Eden 5 space Colony he is planning on it being his greatest gift to the world of music. Sinjen locks himself into the automated concert hall for a last practice session, but finds an elusive and compelling stranger, Vincent Van Vogt has managed to get past his security settings. Vincent is both beautiful in form and voice inducing Sinjen to want/need closer more personal contact. This for Sinjen is strange because he doesn’t like contact with strangers. Vincent promises to meet with Sinjen later after the concert and then vanishes into nothing. Who is Vincent and what is this power he seems to have over Sinjen? Will Sinjen find what he has been looking for or is this just another illusion?
Ms. Caroll has created two incredible men with depths of character that may take a lifetime to learn. Sinjen has spent his life so far dedicated t music, but he has never been truly happy. Vincent is a man of mystery with beautiful golden eyes that show both a depth of loneliness and sorrow that draws Sinjen like a moth to a flame. Together they seem to find the missing part of their soul, but how will Sinjen respond when he unveils Vincent’s mysterious past? I loved how the use of nanotechnology in both of their wings could be utilized for as window dressing, but with a thought could generate protective and offensive shield. These wings are also very erotic centers, as Sinjen soon realized after meeting Vincent. The descriptions of the space Colony were very interesting. I was amused by the preprogrammed responses from the robotic stage hands after the concert, no wonder Sinjen wanted out from that world. Thanks go to Ms. Caroll for an interesting story.
