BOOK BLURB:
Male prostitute, Red, is given an assignment by his pimp and lover, Robbie, with a very unusual client. Red meets the stranger in a darkened house in London and, during their sessions, he learns more than he ever knew about lust, love and his own personal history.

How will his curious and life-enhancing encounters with the stranger affect his relationship with Robbie and his clients, and can love ever be part of a hooker's life at all?

BOOK REVIEW:
Red is such a fascinating character. I wouldn’t have thought a rent boy could afford to have feelings for those with whom they have sex, but Red seems to love so easily and deeply. His love for Robbie is probably more than the man deserves, but I don’t blame Red for that. Red also falls for the mysterious stranger, and quickly, too. I couldn’t decide if this was sweet or naive. But whichever, it adds to Red’s character in a positive way. Red’s capacity to love, enhanced as it was by the mysterious stranger’s “counselling,” was both beautiful and moving.

This short story is certainly different. It's a romance, but not in the typical sense. There’s also more than a touch of the metaphysical about it. I found myself with many unanswered questions; this isn’t to say I was left unsatisfied, far from it. This little story will remain with me for quite some time I’m sure.
