The trail leads from his home in Chicago to Dallas and back. More resourceful than anyone imagined, Jory cracks the case, or does he? And can his love affair with Sam withstand the pressure?

BOOK REVIEW:
Mary Calmes’ "A Matter of Time" was written as one story, yet due to it’s length was divided into four parts. As the story opened we were introduced to two characters, Sam and Jory, who could only be described as polar opposites. Not only is one gay and the other straight, but their whole outlook on life was different as well. Jory is very easy to like and quickly draws the reader into the story. Sam on the other hand has moments where you will want to smack him for his attitude and treatment of Jory, yet it is very easy to see that these two truly belong together.

As the stories progress we are introduced to a variety of secondary characters ~ some as charismatic as Jory and Sam, others not so much. And always woven into each story is a touch of mystery and suspense that will leave you guessing who exactly will be the bad guy. Each installment is just a little better than the last, keeping the readers attention till the very last page. While it is easy for readers to see Jory’s devotion to Sam, even through the tough times, it is not until book four that the reader gets to see just how much Sam truly loves Jory. When trouble once again finds Jory his ability to get away is as always amazing. It also brings Sam’s feelings to the forefront, no longer caring what anyone might think.

To say I love this story would be an understatement, and if I could give it a rating higher than 5 I would. The writer has the ability to make the story come alive, as well as give the readers characters they can care about. This story while at times funny, is also mysterious and full of angst that will leave you wanting to see what will happen next. At the same time once this story reaches it’s final ending it will leave you hoping that a sequel will soon be on the rise. Ms. Calmes has definitely become one of my must get authors.
