BOOK BLURB:
Leather, Licking, and Lawnmowers takes leathersex out of its usual bars and back alleys, setting it in unexpected locations: A 5 & 10. A potluck. A hamburger joint. A waltz party. Even when the leatherman who narrates these stories returns to the Eagle bar, things don't go quite the way he expected ...
BOOK REVIEW:
I’m not a leatherman, and the thought of submitting or dominating someone is anathema to me. But that didn’t stop me from enjoying this anthology immensely.
The five stories are both humorous and erotic. We never learn the name of the narrator, but he seems so real. At first glance you’d expect him to be a hard uncompromising top. But no, he’s witty, at times self-deprecating and fearful. Yet at others he appears strong, in charge and virile. I couldn’t help but be drawn to him. It’s a pity he can’t allow himself to fall in love however. Maybe he’ll do that in later stories. I can but hope.
We read how the narrator ties up his neighbor with clothesline and manages to get the pair of them to orgasm. Then in a later story our guide to the leather world is thrown on a table of raw vegetables and dip by a fellow master to teach him a lesson about danger. The final story sees our unnamed leatherman being visited by a maiden aunt at his favorite leather bar. She isn’t quite as innocent as has always been thought.
The writing is smooth, accessible and witty. I have no hesitation in awarding this single author anthology full marks.
