BOOK BLURB:
Simon has to dress in drag for a party and doesn’t have a clue what to wear. When the man in the costume shop helps him select an Indian princess dress, complete with braids, Simon’s unaware that he isn’t a salesman, but another guest looking for a costume, too.

Charles has decided to fulfill a childhood dream and be a cowboy, if only for a night. One look at the handsome Asian man searching through the racks of evening gowns gives Charles an idea, and working quickly, he puts his plan in motion. Now, he’s got an Indian maiden to join him in his fantasy.

But can a desperado capture the princess’s heart? In this classic childhood battle, who will win?

BOOK REVIEW:
I must admit to being worried before reading this story. I feared Simon would turn out to be a really queenly guy who ordinarily gets herself up in drag. But thankfully no. “He may have been gay, but he'd never had the least interest or desire to dress in women's clothing and pretend he was a woman.” So fears laid aside, I was able to settle down and enjoy the fact that he was press-ganged into putting on a frock for the ‘stag or drag’ office party.

Unbeknown to Simon, Charles is also going to the party, but as a ‘stag.’ He’s opting for the outlaw cowboy look, complete with mask, and oh, my, does he fit the image perfectly.

The first meeting of Simon and Charles in costume was a total delight. Charles knew who Simon was but, because of the mask, all Simon knew was that Charles was one hunky son-of-a-gun. There’s chemistry here. The flirting and mild dominance/submission play was scorching. The two men sparked off each other so perfectly, both in jest and when things got down to the more serious business of foreplay and love-making. For love is what it was, despite all the play-acting.

It was exquisitely poignant to watch Simon, because, despite his yearnings for something more, he was unable to convince himself this would be nothing more than a one-night-stand. No one as hot as Charles would want to stick around.

For anyone whose heroes have always been cowboys, this story is a must. Well done, Ms. Lorenz.
