BOOK BLURB:
This incendiary collection contains a wide range of erotic short stories that burns up the pages with unabashed, uninhibited sex between men. Here two young guys' internet hookup leads to an exhibitionist encounter at a local shopping mall; a boy on the verge of manhood loses his gay cherry to the handyman of a local brothel; a college-bound boy raised by strict Christian parents comes out in the arms of his older brother's best surfer buddy; and two sexual dynamos have their way with a willing military man. These stories will definitely make you sweat. Collection of 16 short stories.
BOOK REVIEW:
- "A Recipe For..." by Kal Cobalt ~ This story is hot; it describes the underbelly/after-hours shenanigans of the food industry just right. The sex is understated and the plot strong, what could have become less with over thinking and length is just right as a short quick story.
- “Hooking Up” by J.M. Snyder ~ The story is alright. There is nothing wrong with the story, it’s simply okay. I hate to give this review because I have been a fan of her writing for YEARS; if this is the first time you have read anything by J.M. read more before you make any decisions about whether you like her stories and style.
- “Cockfighting” by Keith Peck ~ The choice of words in this story are very graphic. Dirty, messy, this is FUCKING, no romance or tenderness.
- “Duffle” By Dallas Angguish ~ The uncertainty of discovering who you may be; the internalized homophobia and coming to grips with the future that eventually turns out okay. A little heartwarming, a little saccharine, but a nice read.
- “Miss Vel’s Place” by Jonathan Asche ~ Boy goes to a whore, doesn’t get what he wants, but he does get what he needs; even if he doesn’t know it.
- “Orbs” by Clarence Wong ~ Humor, sex, danger, tragedy, smuggling; what more could a straitlaced rule abiding boy ask for.
- “Intimacy” By Drew Gummerson ~ Everything was something under something else and I was trying to decipher the exact significance of this, if indeed there was any. Sums it up!
- “Burning the Midnight Oil” By Michael Cain ~ Dorm porn. Goodness knows I wish my college roommate/study partner had been someone worth lusting over.
- “Fluid Mechanics” By Dale Chase ~ “I don’t question why the anarchist has sprouted within me, I simply enjoy his presence, relishing the need he thus far has displayed only to me.” Best excuse I have ever heard; the anarchist made me do it!”
- “Talking to Mr. Mack” By Thomas Fuchs ~ Everyone has a different kink; you never know what your client is going to want till you get there.
- “The Key-Maker’s Wife” By Ted Cornwell ~ A treatise on summer, fishing and fascination.
- “Telling a Switch’s Story” By Arden Hill ~ Blah.
- “The Manor” By Andrew Warburton ~ Boarding school vignettes.
- “Three Scenes: Cruising/Fuck/Butts” By Christopher Schmidt ~ Blah Blah Blah. The author is writing for the sake of his ego with no consideration of the audience. The story is jumpy, poorly disguised mediocrity parading as a stylistic choice.
- “Unmasked” By Syd McGinley ~ Halloween and the removal of metaphoric masks.
- “Burlington” By Phillip Mackenzie, Jr. ~ "At this point, the only person who didn’t know that Rob was going to fuck Justin was Justin." Poor Justin ... I wish the Wal-Mart workers I knew were that hot & easy.
