Nick, or Moonbeam, enlivens his life by talking on a chat line to an individual called Obsidian. Nick's boyfriend has a problem with intimacy so he keeps Nick at arms length, but with Obsidian Nick can open up his feelings in a way he never has before. Obsidian, or Kain, wants Nick in the most intimate way and he has the ability to make his wishes came true.

Kain has become a recluse living in a run down home after an accident, but there is more to him than meets the eye. Nick is an artist, with the temperament to match, which influences his very emotional responses to Obsidian's erotic and descriptive comments. What is the mystery behind Obsidian's life? What does he truly want with Nick? Will Nick and Obsidian have a chance to overcome their obstacles or will they be separated forever?

Ms. Irving has created a Gothic style contemporary paranormal romance with many interesting twists that keep the reader spellbound until the very end. I loved how the story began as an internet chat that continued throughout the story between Nick and Kain. The paranormal aspects of the story added mystery and depth to the plot line. It was incredible to watch the growing relationship and changes that occur in Nick and Kain as they accept each other's love. Things don't go smoothly as they deal with the difficulties in each other's lives knowing that their love strengthens and supports them. Thanks go to Ms. Irving for an incredible story.
