BOOK BLURB:
Kalyani Martin was a good Baptist minister’s daughter, intent on saving herself for the right guy. In her new producing gig on a ghost hunting show run by Ryan Ausar, she might have just found him: Will Hellenboek, co-star on the show.

Will and Aidan, cousins and co-stars, are archdemons, working for Ryan. Their common past has been a long and sometimes bloody one, but the three men share an unbreakable bond. The dark and crazy days of their past are returning to unleash vengeance upon them all. As Ryan struggles to keep things together behind the scenes, can he protect the fragile joy lighting his friends’ lives, without revealing the soul-crushing truth and risking all they hold dear?

BOOK REVIEW:
This is an exciting and at times mesmerizing story of a group of ancients ~ archdemons, guardians of earth's civilization, living their lives in the guise of mortal men. Hades' son Ryan Ausar (once known as Amiago) heads “The Firm,” a reality television show about ghost hunters, along with his two soul brothers, Will (once known as Arnau) and Aidan.

Hells Bells is the second book in Lesli Richardson’s Ghost Hunting series, and stands very well on its own. I haven't read the first book, but am now sufficiently intrigued to buy a copy.

In the prologue we learn that Ryan's soul mate, Chloe, was murdered, and Ryan still grieves for her centuries later. Ryan is in love with Kalyani, the show's producer, but she is engaged to marry Will (Arnau), his soul brother. There is an important plot point here regarding their relationships that if I were to go further, it would act as a spoiler.

Jeff, Kal's lifelong friend and the show's cameraman, is in love with Aidan ~ despite the man's bad dress sense. Their love affair quickly becomes a focal point and highlight of the story. Jeff sweetly wears down Aidan's reluctance to induct him into the quirky and sometimes dangerous life of an archdemon. Their times together are filled with humor, combined with some hot lovemaking and a sense of true devotion.

There's a lot going on in the story with many secondary characters, but it is always clear who's with who ~ and who's against who. There is plenty of humor ~ some dark and some quite light. Bera, a female demon, is desperately trying to get pregnant and she doesn't care which archdemon does the deed. She even tries to wheedle her way in between Aidan and Jeff, taking on Jeff's form to seduce Aidan! Funny as that scene is, it's not long before we discover that Bera is in league with some nasties threatening revenge on Ryan and his friends.

I really enjoyed this book. Lesli Richardson has come up with some truly interesting, well developed characters and situations, and I look forward to reading the continuance of this series.
