BOOK BLURB:
Ven has strong beliefs about commitment; being gay hasn't shaken his desire to get married. But to make his plan to pop the question to his lover work, he needs the support of his family, Toby's family, and Toby's ex-wife, Brenda. And he has to do it while renovating his future in-laws' house.

Toby is blissfully ignorant of Ven's plans, happily showing Ven his old haunts and playing 'what's a nice boy like you doing in a bar like this?' Toby seems happy with the way things are, and Ven knows even if the pieces fall into place, he risks losing everything if Toby doesn't want to marry again.

BOOK REVIEW:
Ven and Toby have built a life together and overcome several obstacles. After a year together, they both know how much they mean to one another. Ven feels the need to make that final step, to honor their commitment by getting married, despite what the law says. Ven has the blessing of his own parents as well as Toby’s, and even talks to Toby’s ex-wife Brenda. He is determined to have their family there for their special moment, and hopes that Toby is willing to take the next step with him.

Coming Home is the sixth and final story in the Renovations Chaser series that has focused on the development of the relationship between Ven and Toby. They have been through quite a bit together as they fell in love and started to build their family, and their love is as strong as ever. This is the cap to their story, the cherry on top of their happy ending.

I enjoyed getting a chance to spend more time with the characters that I have come to love over the course of this series, however at the same time there was something missing from this story. There have always been erotic sex scenes in these stories, steamy hot scenes between two extremely sexy guys, but previously it was always in support of the story. Here it felt a bit too much, and in fact constituted the majority of the story. Throughout the course of thirty-eight pages, there were three extensive erotic scenes, and although I do enjoy reading about these two and the interactions are quite stimulating, it felt like it encompassed too much of the story and became a bit repetitive. What drew me to the series from the beginning was the connection between the characters, and we don’t get as much of that in this story.

Despite that, I did enjoy this story, and when put in perspective as the ending of a series, it is a good wrap-up for the characters. They love one another deeply and that is clear throughout this story, and the series overall. If you have read the rest of the Renovations series, you will enjoy this happy ending for two enjoyable characters.
