BOOK REVIEW:
This is an eclectic little book, a collection of stories with no particular connecting rhyme or reason. Ginger Mayerson is the editor, as well as author of the title story, "The Tagger." The only theme appears to be that of gay male protagonists.

"The Tagger" is possibly the most artistic story of the lot, involving a man who reluctantly becomes involved 'on the down low' with a youthful billboard tag artist. My favorite, however, is "Across the Universe" by Laura Dearlove, in which Jack moves from universe to universe, in each locale spending one day with Chris, the love of his life, and then moving inexorably on. Every Chris is different but has some things in common. It's a very interesting study of how we might use the set of skills and talents we are given in different ways, but some things remain the same. Also worth noting is Colleen Wylie's tongue-in-cheek "When George MacFadden Was Eaten by a Dragon." Who knew dragons only ate virgins?

Any anthology is a collection that contains stories that a given reader will love and another reader will hate. I think this collection is worth a look because all of the stories have qualities that make them just a little bit out of the ordinary.
