BOOK BLURB:
Ah, the guiche piercing, that tiny, hidden surprise behind a man's balls. What could be better than three stories that celebrate the guiche? In Reading the River by Jay Lygon, the narrator is working on a boat on the Mississippi. His roommate Billy, or Bear as he privately calls the man, is a tough guy he's more than a little attracted to. When he and Billy finally get together, one of them has a little surprise for the other.

Mychael Black gives us After the Show, starting drummer Chaz, who's into body modification. In fact he's just gotten a new tattoo when he meets Devin. With a fancy car and even fancier apartment, Devin is quite the catch. Will he think the same of Chaz, even after he's seen what the drummer has hidden away?

And finally, Preston and Paulo are back in Bearing Witness by Lee Benoit. When the duo witness the end of a contract between Tasim and Jesse, Paulo begins to worry about his own place with Preston. Will his contract with Preston eventually go the same way? Preston will need to come up with something special to reassure his lover of his place in Preston's life. His permanent place.

BOOK REVIEW:
Toy Box: Guiche contains three lovely tales with the common factor of the guiche, that most intimate of piercings. There's a subtle message behind a guiche piercing. It's not for outward show, since you must be in the most intimate of situations to even know it's there. It's painful and slow to heal, so it's a commitment in itself. These stories show three very different situations.

Reading the River by Jay Lygon is set on a boat on the Mississippi. The guiche is only one of the erotic discoveries that the narrator makes about his roommate. What are the chances that two men working on the boat would have the same sexual tastes?

After the Show by Mychael Black, Chaz meets yuppie Devin. Chaz is the drummer for a metal band, and is tattooed and pierced ~ definitely not mainstream. He meets the very attractive Devin, but Devin has all the trappings of upscale life, from the Dockers and polo shirt to the expensive condo. However, Devin has a surprise for Chaz.

Bearing Witness by Lee Benoit is a welcome addition to the Paulo/Preston series of stories. Preston and Paulo are in a D/s relationship, but Paulo is thrown for a loop when they go to a very special ceremony to end the contract of another D/s couple, and Preston has to think how to make Paulo understand that their relationship is forever. I loved seeing another angle to the relationship between these two men, and if you like this story, you should seek out the rest of the series.

These three quick fun stories are sexy tidbits that I definitely recommend you add to your reading list. I have to admit to liking the Lee Benoit story best, but that's probably because I was already invested in Paulo and Preston. The Jay Lygon story is a departure from the style of the previous books of his that I have read, and I am very impressed with his versatility. He has a way with words that catches you right up in the story. Mychael Black, as always, deftly creates the scene in his story, with all the color and visuals of a movie. You won't want to miss it.

Usually in an anthology, there's one story that shines out from the lot, but not here. You'll want to read them all.
