BOOK BLURB:
Cassie has found the man of her dreams. Neil’s rich and smart and hotter than hell! He's perfect. Except for one small thing. Their sex life is cooling off and he’s not talking. It's not her, she's almost sure, and she's not giving up. She's determined to get to the bottom of it. And fix it.
What Cassie doesn't know is that Neil used to have a boyfriend. Lou. They used to pick up women together, have sex with them, enjoy them, but they never found one they wanted to keep. Then Lou moved on. Neil tried. He tried to go straight for Cassie and for his career, but he never stopped loving Lou and without that man in his bed, he's never going to have everything he needs, no matter how much he loves Cassie.
Once Cassie starts digging around, the truth can't be denied. And neither can the chemistry between Cassie and Lou. Is she the one they needed all along? Cassie's never had two men before. Not even just in bed. The idea of a ménage life scares her a little, honestly. But now that she knows how to please her boyfriend, she's not letting him go. Even if it means learning to love her boyfriend's boyfriend.
BOOK REVIEW:
Her Boyfriend's Boyfriend is an interesting and different take on a ménage relationship. It's complicated, but the characters are awesomely attractive, so you can't help but want them to get it all together.
Cassie and Neil are engaged, and Cassie couldn't be happier, with one tiny exception. Neil used to be really involved in their sex life, and things are cooling off. Cassie is willing to dress up as a maid, let him tie her up, dress in a sparkly thong, whatever, but he just says he's busy with work.
Lou is supposedly Neil's gay best friend. What Cassie doesn't know, but is about to find out, is that Lou and Neil have had a long-standing love relationship, but Neil broke up with Lou in order to live the straight life for the sake of his business. What Neil is missing is Lou. And Lou is not gay: he's bi. And Neil is, too.
Lou and Neil often had threesomes with women, but could never find one they wanted to keep for more than one night. Could Cassie be the one?
Cassie can't figure out what's going on with Neil, so she decides the best thing is to ask Lou, but Lou's been sworn to secrecy. When Neil walks in on Cassie modeling her thong for Lou, and Lou hard as a rock, there are going to be some truths told. Nothing can be the same anymore.
What comes out of this is a hot ménage relationship. Neil would never cheat on Cassie, but he's missed Lou, a lot. Neil and Lou both love Cassie. Cassie loves Neil and thinks Lou is hot, but thought he was gay. Lou has missed Neil desperately and is hot for Cassie. Can they work out a threesome that meets all their needs without sacrificing the straight-arrow image Neil needs for his business?
Despite the complicated beginning, this is one of the most believable menage stories I've run across. Sometimes threesomes seem to come about in books to accommodate one character's inability to commit, but here, Cassie, Neil and Lou are all on the same page emotionally. They are empathetic, they clearly respect each other, and their reactions ring true. If you like no-holds-barred, hot sex between intelligent people, you'll love Her Boyfriend's Boyfriend.
