BOOK REVIEW:
Will and Mitch are neighbors who’ve settled into a pretty comfortable and easy relationship. They have great sex and actually get along pretty well, adapting easily to a low key routine instead of the usual revolving door of dates for each man. The story takes place over one weekend, just a day really, where Mitch reads tips on how to have hotter and better sex then challenges the competitive Will to keep up. For a short story with a lot of hot sex between some amusing and fun characters, this will fill that quick yearn for you.
Will and Mitch are fun characters with big personalities, even if they are somewhat underdeveloped. Within the constraints of a short story, it’s definitely hard to balance character definition with action and unfortunately the men suffered for this. While both Will and Mitch come across as fun loving, adventurous, and sexy men – neither advance beyond that as the action focuses on the various sexual antics they get involved in. This is fine if you’re looking for a quick and amusing read with some hot sex and even hotter men.
The prose was tight however the point of view changes were frantic and confusing. I honestly could almost never understand which of the men’s perspective the author was writing from and just when it became clear it was from one of the men, another comment and POV change would occur. This confusion also led to character and situation confusion since it was sometimes impossible to understand which man was thinking what in some circumstances.
Surprisingly, even with the confusion the story is fun to read and the sex is hot. While not a perfect example of a short story, this will fill your needs if you are a fan of the authors or simply want a short, hot story with a hint of a HEA ending to the romance. It’s not overly sweet or analytical and is just right for a “wet dream” as the publisher calls it.
