BOOK REVIEW:
Tristan and Will Northland are twin brothers: hereditary witches. Raised by their grandmother, recently deceased, they are the descendants of twins Anne and Edward Northland who lived in the 16th century. Upon betrayal by her lover Anne had cursed him and his seed for generations to come; then she and her unborn died in childbirth as the curse’s casting rebounded onto her family.
The Sterling line endured under the curse, which turned each male into a phelan werewolf as he reached puberty. Benjamin Sterling has learned to live with his curse, creating wealth so that he may repair to his estate for the time of each monthly change, and researching widely in arcane texts.
After his grandmother’s passing, Tristan is convinced that his life path includes lifting the Sterling curse, and travels from London to New York City to meet Benjamin. Indeed their encounter does seem fated, as Benjamin’s wolf recognizes Tristan as true mate. Tristan is equally enamored, but Ben must realize that his human side can be a part of this love as well.
Rich in occult lore and multiple dramatic subplots, Cursed will capture and maintain the reader’s interest through frequent plot twists and turns. Intriguing characterization is backed by steamy sensuality, which in turn is underscored by the theme of true fated love. Only love can break Anne Northland’s curse laid half a millennia earlier, but will love survive in the midst of all that is arrayed against Tristan and Ben?
