BOOK BLURB:
Andy Smith is just trying to do a good deed when he takes his sister’s fiancé home from a bar. After all, Scott Huxley is a major Hollywood star, and one drunken picture two nights before his wedding could be a huge embarrassment. The two men have nothing in common except an intense attraction. An attraction neither want to acknowledge. Andy doesn’t want to betray his own sister, and Scott’s secret runs so deep he can’t even be honest with himself.
But it doesn’t take Andy long to learn that he doesn’t have to acknowledge an attraction to be completely overwhelmed by it.
BOOK REVIEW:
My first thought was “poor Andy something I repeated several times during the book. I was reminded of Shakespeare’s words “loves not wisely but too well” Andy’s previous lovers were unsuitable and unattainable. Deep down he knows this but seems powerless to stop history from repeating itself.
On the other hand, Scott seems more simple to understand, but then he’s an actor, better able to play a part. All is not what it seems with Scott and his bride to be.
The writing is smooth and atmospheric. The emotions of the two main protagonists are drawn out with deft skill.
I won’t spoil the ending by saying what happens, but the way things work out is satisfactory, but I can foresee problems occurring further down the road.
